Being kind is like giving a present to someone just because you want to. If we all try to be nice to each other, we can make the world a better place. You can show kindness in many ways, like helping someone or saying something nice. There are lots of chances to be kind all around us.
A young person from Syria named Hüseyin el-Hasan helped a hurt dog and showed us that people can still be kind. He knows what it’s like to go through really tough times because of the war in Syria.
Hüseyin has been through a lot of really bad things, but he is still alive and living in Turkey with his family. He cares a lot about helping other people who are also going through tough times. Hüseyin saw a dog get hit by a car. He quickly went to his car and came back with a blanket. He covered the dog with the blanket to keep it safe and called for someone to help. After seeing a doggy struck by a car near his new house, Hüseyin dashed to his automobile. He returned home, grabbed his blanket, wrapped it around the dog to keep it safe, and then called for help.
Even though his house was also cold, Hüseyin gave his only blanket to the sad puppy. He stayed with the puppy until the rescuers came. Some people who take care of animals came to take the dog to a doctor, but it was too late. The boy was very sad, but he made the dog happy before she died.
A boy did something nice to help others, and the person who helps take care of the city went to his house to say thank you and remember him. Even though some people might not think it’s a big deal, the person who came to visit thinks it shows how kind people can be. Hüseyin got a new blanket and some other presents, and he was told he did a really good job being kind and helpful to others. They said more people should act that way too. Even though Hüseyin had a tough time growing up with mean people around him, he never stopped being nice and wanting to show love.
There is a boy named Hüseyin in Kilis who did something really great. Everyone in his town is very proud of him. He showed that even children can be good examples and follow good values.
