A dog that didn’t have a home before has become a mother to eight baby pigs who didn’t have a mother. The dog is taking care of them like they are her own babies, and even making milk for them to drink. It’s really sweet to see!
A mommy dog who lives with her owners on the Gold Coast became a new mommy to some puppies very quickly because she knew how to take care of them. A dog that used to live on the streets became friends with 8 little pigs who were sick and needed a home. Their owner said it was really lovely to see them all get along so well.
We put some oil on the animals after we cleaned them, and then one of them named Treasure licked the oil off. That’s how everything started. Mr. Trevor found a dog named Treasure and took her in when she was lost about a year and a half ago. He didn’t know if she had babies before, but when some baby pigs started drinking her milk, she was able to produce milk right away.
The family said Treasure quickly bonded with the other pets before she started nursing the eight piglets .‘She’s a stray so we don’t know what her history was before she came to us. But there was a little bit of something there,’ he said.
ʼAnd when they started to suck, that’s when the milk production happened. She loves them dearly.’ Speaking to Today Tonight, the family said Treasure quickly bonded with the other pets before she started nursing the eight piglets.
‘I was scared she might see them as a meat on legs but no, she didn’t. SHe loved them, and licked them clean and looked after them,’ Mr Trevor said.
