A couple of brave people saved all the unwanted senior dogs from the animal shelters.

Chris and Mariesa started the Mr. Mo Project to help senior dogs at their local shelter. But as the project got bigger and more dogs were being taken in, they decided to keep taking in dogs themselves.

The two people who help animals in need have a network of people who help them save animals in other parts of the United States and in Canada. They try not to leave any animals behind when they rescue them, and they’ve helped save over 500 animals in the past six years.

Moses was a dog who was not supposed to be at the local animal shelter. He only stayed there for four short weeks before he died. After he died, the people who work at the shelter started thinking about all the other dogs who have probably gone through the same thing as Moses.

The Mr. Mo initiative believes that giving senior dogs the best possible care is a worthwhile goal. Their motto is “the best for the rest,” which simply means that they want to provide senior dogs with the best possible experience. They are a noble organization. The couple often asks people for donations to pay for expensive treatments, but from time to time they don’t reach their fundraising goals and have to pay for the therapy themselves. They joke that anything not nailed down in their home can be sold!

Nonetheless, this provides a glimpse into the character of these two remarkable individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that senior dogs enjoy a tranquil and comfortable retirement. I will leave you with Mariesa’s remarks, which sum up their purpose so beautifully: Because it is our passion and a tremendously enjoyable activity, I believe we are extremely fortunate. We are incredibly fortunate to be able to do this.
